Yes, photographers cost money. In fact, brilliant photographers can cost a hell of lot of money, but you'll be getting exactly what you pay for. Guaranteed. If you want to get hired by the most incredible magazines or make a wonderful name for yourself, splurging on some good photos for your portfolio is definitely worth it.
