2. Hairy Frogs Stab You With Their Bones

This cute little frog, with its stylish mid-noughties fringe effect, is actually possessed by demons. That's a science fact.

When the Trichobatrachus robustus is threatened, rather than running or hiding or hissing, this little frog will actively break its own bones and force the sharp end through its skin to stab you with. The broken bones will poke through the frog's toe pads to form cat-like claws in a sort of amphibious Wolverine impersonation.

In a similar vein, there is also a type of salamander, the catchily named Pleurodeles waltl, that will poke its own ribs through its skin as a defence mechanism.

This, for some reason, is considered to be perfectly reasonable behaviour in animals, but if you were faced with a human, possibly a spooky little girl in a dark hotel corridor, who then proceeded to push her finger bones through the ends of her fingers, then pop her ribs out for good measure, you'd be on the phone to the nearest priest before you could say "exorcist".
