9 Reasons PC Owners Are Jealous Of Macs

4. Simple And User-Friendly

Aside from the cost, one of the major reasons why there is reluctance to jump from a PC to a Mac is the fact that it's a big change. There is no doubt that it's scary to swap from an operating style that you are comfortable with than to one that is entirely new.

These fears are understandable but unnecessary. Apple products, from Macs to iPhones, are notoriously simple and user-friendly. The company spends a lot of time and money on ensuring that its interfaces are as straightforward and instinctive as possible.

The app store is easy to use. Help functions are straightforward to locate, and filled with clear, to-the-point information. Integration with handheld devices like iPhones and iPads is a simple and enjoyable process, rather than an irritatingly complex mess of incompatible programs as if often the case with PCs.

Sure, there are some things that you'll have to learn. There are some keys in different places. The print screen function is nothing like that on a PC, but undoubtedly gives you far more control. The interface and environment, while stunning and incredibly instinctive, requires a brief re-learning process if you are to make the switch from PC to Mac.

But "brief" is the operative word. These interfaces and apps become second-nature very, very quickly, and far outdo those of PCs. It is telling that Apple has remained at the top of customer satisfaction surveys for a decade now, despite the fact that its products are at the upper-end of the market financially.
