9 Reasons Why Tony Abbott Is The Worst Australian Prime Minister In History (And He Only Just Got The Job)

1. Refuses To Allow (or Even Fight For) Basic Human Rights For His Own Family

Meet Christine Forster! That my friends is Tony Abbott's openly GAY Sister. I really, REALLY have to emphasize that. But like his position on asylum seekers that I mentioned previously that right there is what sounds to me like the rhetoric of a Christian fundamentalist. And as the man in the crowd said, if you are to be Prime Minister of a Nation, you must govern FOR ALL PEOPLE. And I don't care what you believe, the fact is that being gay is not a "lifestyle" or a "fashion trend". It is a natural occurrence that has been proven scientifically throughout nature time and time again. And is widely becoming accepted by the "civilized" world that it is in fact, a "God" given human right. I spent my whole preteen & childhood life in Catholic school and never in the history of the teachings from the bible that were bestowed upon me by my priests and or equivalent (not to mention my extended family on both sides), was I EVER taught that homosexuality was a sin and/or they should be treated any differently. We learned to use the stories as metaphors to guide us though the wickedness and onto a higher path (Heaven as some of you like to call it). And I had scripture readings every Thursday and was a regular church goer right up until my teens. So don't throw any of your hate mongering rhetoric at me.

And the simple fact that he can't allow his own flesh and blood this basic human right to express her love to whomever she chooses as "the one," and then basing his archaic views on the notion that it is how the bible is taught to us personally offends me as a catholic (even a non practicing one). I can't even describe the madness that I see. All I can do is go back to my childhood for reference. And I can reassure you that if any family member was treated like this, in public no less, they would've seen a visit from the ol' cracking whip.

So there you have it. Although you may disagree with my opinion on this matter you can't sit there and say that I have not presented some pretty decent examples of why this man should NOT be our leader in any sense of the term. But, as the masses you have spoken and although I will disagree with you vehemently I will accept your decision. But when the next election comes around in a few years, allow me to re-iterate my position I previously stated at the beginning of this article and leave you with this thought: "This article is NOT an endorsement of ANY political party, whether it be Labor, the Greens or any other minority equivalent. And I will go further on to even say that it is NOT an indictment of the Liberal/National Party as a whole. In fact there is a small minority that are forward thinkers who should definitely be in a higher position of power within the inner circle then the current leader (my opinions on that are my own) and new Prime Minister of Australia." So when you exercise your right to vote that your forefathers fought and died for I say to you please, don't vote for anything at face value or what the media tells you. Do research on each party, takes the time out to study the candidates, their motivations and if they aren't complete buffoons. And NEVER vote with your emotions. Follow what is right in your head, not with your heart. Maybe one day, we'll finally have a better option than either Party.
