Honourable mentions go to Expedia, which functions as an electronic travel agency, allowing users to handle their holidays and related services in a simplistic manner, and ESPN, which offers comprehensive coverage of nearly every sport of note, from rugby to rallying.

Another marmite website of sorts, either loved or despised. Regardless of personal opinion, Facebook allows people to socialise through the use of computer, allowing them to chat and share content on a site that has usurped rivals such as MySpace and Bebo, and is now utilised by everybody from musicians to politicians to connect with their audiences. Honourable mentions go to Funny Or Die, a comedy website with significant input from well-known faces where content deemed 'unfunny' is condemned to death, as well as Firefox, the first browser to seriously rival Microsofts Internet Explorer Monopoly with its open source software.
