2. Ron And Hermione

Harry Potter Ron Hermione Yep, they get a category all to themselves. If ever there was a character bashed for the sake of another coupling, that would be Ron. If ever there was a character built up for the sake of another coupling, that would be Hermione. If ever there was the slightest bit of semi-canonical evidence to the contrary of this coupling, somebody somewhere would have found and wrote an essay about it. Nevertheless, it was all in vain with the release with the release of Book 6: Ron and Hermione loved each other, and Harry was with Ginny. I don't think that I realized the extent to which anonymous people over the internet could hate each other until after Half-Blood Prince. The score was settled. Sides were chosen. The words "delusional" and "militant" were uttered. Conspiracy theories were born. Depending on your allegiances, you were either thrilled or heartbroken. Or maybe more concerned with what Snape had done to Dumbledore. There was also that. Not that I can throw stones. Still, despite clear statements from the author and an epilogue that ought to have settled the argument forever, the debate carries on.
