Part 2: Getting acclimated/Various Things
So the first day with any new IOS is difficult, but I found iOS7 to be especially difficult, mostly because you started from ground zero. I mean ground zero. I started with the same apps, that was it, everything was different. And then when I went to fix it, I couldn't FIND anything! You know how adults talk when they get a new electronic device? "I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING!!!" That's literally what I sounded like. It took me days to find the screen that is the equivalent of the notification screen. It used to be easy, you could pull down and see the weather and stocks and notifications (if you're like me you never have any) and it was good. NOW I pull down, and there just a search bar. It took me DAYS to realize you had to swipe to the left, wait no, I literally just swiped down and it showed up. I swear it didn't used to do that. Apple's trying to make me go crazy. Is anyone else having these issues? I just found out from a friend that it depends on where you swipe down from that depends on what comes up. Because THAT'S not confusing. I personally like the new look, and the subtle colors that Apple added. It does look suspiciously like the Android, but I like the new colors and the use of gradients. I especially love how many colors are, and how things are different colors depending on what's behind them. What can I say, I love colors. Also, let's talk about how Apple changed their ringtones. Those ringtones had become synonymous with Apple, and they changed them!? The ringtones were just as much a part of the phone as everything else, I was very surprised when I realized things had changed (for the record: it didn't save any of my default ringtones either) I still wish that the lock screen when you double click to change the song or whatever, you could change repeat and shuffle. I feel like that's something small that a lot of people want.
