The Verdict.
As someone who knows a little about WWE, this house intrigued me greatly.
How would Universal pull off a house dedicated to WWE, make it scary and honour Bray Wyatt's legacy? It turns out they did it perfectly.
This house had all the things that I think make up a truly great horror house. It was genuinely scary, had great characters and immersive scenes.
As someone who has a small amount WWE knowledge, I was fascinated by all the Easter Eggs. There were championship belts imbedded in the scenery, Undertaker's Urn, the Money in the Bank briefcase and even a ring bell. Fans should even keep an eye on the wallpaper as they might see a rabbit going through one of the wrestling’s famous tables.
The Firefly fans of the Wyatt Sicks also get their own moment as they come to life in a twisted way.
In any great IP house, you shouldn't have to be a fan or even have any knowledge the house. WWE Presents: The Horrors of the Wyatt Sicks allows even those who have never seen a wrestling match before to enjoy it. The house has huge creepy characters that burst out at you ferociously, what more could you want?!
The scares are relentless, with so many characters in the house that were everywhere. The house was uniquely abstract at times. There was a tunnel of televisions playing actual WWE moments on them, with members of the Wyatt Sicks waiting to frighten you amongst the screens.
What made this house so special wasn't the scares (there were plenty), it was the love that went into it.
This house was crafted by people who wanted to honour the passing of Bray Wyatt. At many times during the house there are nods to Bray, including the locker room displaying his opponents and his picture regularly appearing.
The most poignant moment of all is the final room in the house, with his lantern perpetually glowing as you say goodbye to the house.
This was my personal favourite house... but the next house was so good it demanded the top spot.
