6. The Rose Bowl (Pasadena, USA) - 93,420 Capacity
Opened in 1922, this stadium is mainly used for the huge following of College American Football - but it makes the list primarily due to it hosting the 1994 World Cup Final. Football-wise, it also famously held an exhibition match between LA Galaxy and Barcelona in 2009, which was its largest football (or "soccer") attendance since the 1994 World Cup Final - with 93,137 fans turning up to watch Lionel Messi and Co win 2-1. It also boasts the record for the most attended women's sporting event in history, with 90,185 people paying to watch USA beat China 5-4 in the FIFA Women's World Cup Final in 1999.
I'm a 24 year old working in insurance; this is not the life I thought I would have as a boy. I was certain I would be playing for England by now, unfortunately I lack the necessary stamina, skill, fitness, strength and technique. However the one thing I do not lack is passion for the game and I am able to, wrongly or rightly, conjure up an opinion about any aspect of the game. Good luck with that.
