Anderson arrived at Manchester United from Portugal alongside Nani in 2007 and like his midfield colleague has failed to make a long lasting impact in the Premier League. Five goals from 104 total appearances is a dire return and fans waiting for the Brazilian to at last realise his true potential in a red shirt are still waiting. The club itself lost patience in January this year, loaning the 26-year-old out to Fiorentina, where he again failed to get the pulses racing in his seven goalless appearances for the Italians.
