Southampton: 2014-Present League Appearances: 30 League Goals: 0 Newcastle United: 2006-2012 League Appearances: 0 League Goals: 0 Frasier Forster earned his first professional contract with Newcastle United in 2005 and the Hexham-born goalkeeper was third choice goalkeeper during the 2007-08 season. However, the Magpies decided to loan Forster out to four different clubs, including Stockport County, Bristol Rovers, Norwich City and Celtic. The goalkeeper impressed highly at the latter and he signed a permanent deal with Celtic in 2012 for £2 million without making a single appearance for Newcastle. Last summer it was reported that Celtic and Southampton had agreed a fee of around £10 million for the transfer of Forster down to the Premier League club. The shot-stopper was in excellent form last season and made three appearances for England. Forster suffered a severe knee injury after performing a goal-kick towards the end of last season and was escorted off the pitch by medics. The club confirmed Forster's injury to be a broken kneecap and that he could miss the entire 2015-16 season.
