9. Harry Redknapp's Soaking
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2VCyWLh2og When Spurs clinched fourth place - and a place in the Champions League - by winning at Manchester City back in 2010, Harry Redknapp was being interviewed after the match. During the interview, a group of Spurs players, led by a jubilant, buoyant and raucous David Bentley, came over and soaked the manager in water. At the time, it was seen as a joke, but Redknapp has since said he found it disrespectful. Speaking to Absolute Radio's Helen Chamberlain in 2011, he had this to say:
Well I've got to be honest, Helen, it was a bit of fun, but I wasn't best pleased with it, I've got to be honest with you. I just thought it was a bit disrespectful if I'm honest about it, to tell you the absolute truth, you know. I could never imagine doing that with Ron Greenwood, who was my manager when I was a player, or Bobby Moore doing it to the manager. But no, Davids a good lad, I just think they got a bit carried away on the night. You notice it was all lads who didn't play who did it, it was none of the boys who actually played.
