9. Thomas Gravesen
Neal Simpson/EMPICS SportIt's not often an Everton player joins Real Madrid. Nor is it to suggest that this wasn't a good move. Gravesen joined Real Madrid at one of their low points. They failed to win La Liga nor did they impress in the Champions League in his 2 year tenure. Perhaps signing players from Everton was a major reason behind this. Nevertheless, he was soon shipped on to Celtic. Gravesen did make a brief appearance back at Everton in 2007 on loan but by then the love affair between two parties was but a distant memory. Gravesen's love affair with his bald brother Lee Carsley will however echo through the ages.
