Zeki Fryers appears to be one of those players who, defensively, is a jack of all trades and a master of none. He can seemingly play anywhere across the defence and perform there to an average standard - but that simply isn't good enough for a club of Tottenham Hotspur's stature. Despite the fact he is capable of playing at left back, right back and centre back, he has at least two people in front of him in the pecking order for each position and, given that he's 22 in less than a month, it's not as though he can continue to use youth as an excuse. Fryers has appeared just seven times in the Premier League for Spurs - only three of which appearances have come from the start - and he just doesn't look likely to make an impact for the team in any competition, even when injuries come in to play, with so many better players than him at the club. His signing was strange in the first place and, with Spurs actively looking for more defenders in this current transfer window, he'd only fall further down in the pecking order and should be allowed to leave.
