Spurs fans long for a manager who lasts as long as the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, David Moyes at Everton or, God forbid, Arsene Wenger at Arsenal. Managers at White Hart Lane are expected to work miracles in the space of a couple of seasons (or less), otherwise they are relieved of their duties by demanding Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy. Clearly, this tactic isn't working and Spurs need to give their managers more time - starting with new boss Mauricio Pochettino - if success isn't instantaneous. In recent years, Tim Sherwood has lasted around six months, Andre Villas Boas lasted around a year and a half, Juande Ramos lasted a year and Jacques Santini lasted just thirteen games (though that was due to his resignation). Spurs really need some stability and a manager that lasts for a decade and brings success in that time would be most welcome amongst fans of the club.
