10 Problems Only Spurs Fans Will Understand

3. Levy In Or Out?

The Daniel Levy issue is a strange one and a very tough one for Spurs fans. On the positive side, he's got the business side of the club running like clockwork. They are financially secure and have shown an ability to compete in the transfer market with clubs who have seemingly bottomless pits thanks to their sugar daddy owners. He's also taken the club from relegation candidates and mid-table finishes to a series of assaults on the Champions League places - and the fans are very appreciative of those things. But, on the negative side, he's an incredibly hard man to deal with, he is very impatient with his managers, he sets a wage cap that does restrict the club's ability to bring in true superstars and he has sold several of the club's best players (albeit for a lot of money) when the fans would have preferred to keep them. It really is a love-hate relationship that the fans have with him and it's very hard for them to decide whether or not it's in the best interests of the club for him to stay or go.
