10 Reasons Liverpool Will Win The Premier League This Year
8. The Young Reds Will Learn From Their Mistakes
Something that perhaps didn't always get as much of a mention as it deserved last season was just how young Liverpool's team was. When you look at their level of experience compared to that of City and Chelsea, there is absolutely no comparison. The likes of Jon Flanagan, Jordan Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling and Sturridge were all regulars week in, week out yet they are all under 25. Squad players like Joe Allen and Mamadou Sakho also fall into that category. In the end, it could be argued that their youthful naivety worked against them. Against Chelsea a number of the aforementioned youngsters appeared to freeze a little when the pressure was cranked up- understandably, in fairness- with a lack of know-how in games of such magnitude evident. The same applies to the disastrous capitulation against Crystal Palace in their penultimate league game. A perfect example is Palace's second goal in their unbelievable comeback, in which Coutinho had the perfect opportunity to foul Yannick Bolasie and take a yellow card for the good of the team. Instead, he let the speedy winger go past him, and it led to Dwight Gayle making it 3-2. The rest, as they say, is history. This season they will have learned from their errors, and earned a huge amount of experience from playing in such huge games, which should ensure they don't freeze this time around.
