Kyle Naughton has been a fringe player ever since he signed for Spurs alongside his fellow "Kyle" and fellow right back Kyle Walker from Sheffield United in 2009 - this is in spite of the fact that the bulk of the £9 million joint fee was said to be on him. Walker overtook him from the start and has been an ever-present when he's been fit since then - so you'd think Naughton would seize the opportunity to perform well in the absence of his right back rival. However, he is one of those who looks disinterested and dejected when he plays - a fact that was exemplified when he took out Stoke City's Victor Moses in uncompromising fashion in the 2-1 defeat at White Hart Lane a week ago. Naughton knew the outcome of what he was about to do, but he did it anyway - it was almost as if he wanted to be off the pitch. On top of that - which was his second red card of the season - he is also playing poorly in general.
