10 Things Liverpool Want You To Forget About Mario Balotelli
6. Strip Clubs, Guns And Sword Fighting
Poor old Roberto Mancini had one hell of a job trying to manage Balotelil, both at Inter and City, and it was at the latter that he twice broke curfew for inexcusable reasons. In March 2012 he was fined £250,000 for visiting a Liverpool-based strip club- the fact it was on Merseyside will no doubt immediately concern some Reds supporters- two nights before a match. With an important game looming on the Saturday, he went to the club at 2am on the Thursday night, much to Mancini's dismay. A few months prior to that, in December 2011, he had broken curfew once again, this time having a mock sword fight with some rolling pins, having gone to an Indian restaurant for dinner in the early hours. Rather than keep his late night meal a secret, however, he happily posed for photographs and signed autographs with fans while at the restaurant. He had training the following morning, and another fine predictably followed. More recently, Mario continued to show his fondness for weapons by posting a message to haters: the delightful gun-toting pose (pictured above) left no subtlety in his intended message.
