For some people, David Moyes biggest failure was his inability to control the dressing room. In time, his handling of Wayne Rooney may turn out to be his greatest misdeed. When Alex Ferguson was leaving it appeared Rooneys time at the club was up, and as he held the club to ransom once more it was the eager Moyes who caved to the England stars demands and at the time made Rooney the best paid player in the world - ahead of Ronaldo and Messi. The breaking of the wage structure and Rooneys current salary creates a big problem in the dressing room, and it is vital that there is established a unity in the team once more - which may be dependant on Rooney leaving. What cannot happen is high profile arrivals made possible by astronomical wages. Man Utd is too big a club to be at the mercy of one player. Louis Van Gaal is not afraid to clash with star players - butting heads with Rivaldo and Luca Toni at Barcelona and Bayern Munich respectively. Fans will hope that he can build a team made up of local talent who want to be at the club - not players who expect to be in the team.
