Edin Dzeko wasn't the first player to miss a complete sitter for Manchester City. Back in 2010, while Dzeko was still plying his trade for German club Wolfsburg, it was Carlos Tevez leading the line for the Citizens. Tevez had endeared himself with City fans in 2009 by joining from derby rivals United, but became the villain in August the following year after fluffing his lines in front of an open goal. Sunderland were proving tricky opposition that day and the Sky Blues were struggling to break down their rearguard, but thought they'd finally cracked it when Yaya Toure squared for the Argentinian to tap in from 12 yards out. Toure's pass had completely taken Black Cats keeper Simon Mignolet out of the game and the goal was gaping, yet Tevez could only balloon his effort into the stands. As if to rub salt into the wounds, City lost the game 1-0 thanks to a last-gasp Darren Bent penalty.
