10 Worst Ever Misses In Premier League History

6. Scott Sinclair vs Man Utd, 2011

In 2011, Scott Sinclair was presented with a golden opportunity to equalise against Manchester United, but instead left his club's fans aghast with their head in their hands. United were winning 1-0 at Liberty Stadium in a closely contested affair but considered themselves mightily fortunate to leave Wales with the three points after full time. Wayne Routledge sent in a delightful chip from the edge of the area and the floating ball reduced defender Nemanja Vidic and goalkeeper David de Gea to mere spectators with Sinclair poised to score what looked a certain goal. But instead, the ball got trapped between the winger's legs and United cleared their lines. In the end, Routledge's cross had only served to nutmeg his teammate.
