10 Worst Ever Premier League Panic Buys

1. Kim Kallstrom - Arsenal

Luckily for Arsenal, Kim Kallstrom's failed stint at the Emirates was only a loan move.

The veteran Swede arrived in north London in a bid to provide the squad with some much-needed steel in the centre of the park as they continued their bid for the Premier League title in 2014. However, with Kallstrom arriving from Spartak a month after the Russian winter break had started, the 31-year-old lacked match fitness. Not a big deal you may say? Add in the fact that he arrived with a damaged vertebrae in his back and this certainly wasn't one of Arsene Wenger's smartest moves.

Two months passed before he was able to pull on an Arsenal shirt and after a rather pathetic four appearances, the midfielder scurried back to Spartak with his tail firmly between his legs.
