Michael Dawson looks to be on his way out of White Hart Lane and, while Spurs fans will be sad to see him go, it is with reluctance that most will agree his time is up. Dawson probably isn't the kind of defender Spurs want or need right now, given their aspirations and Mauricio Pochettino's style of play, but there is absolutely no denying that he has been a fantastic and committed servant to the club during his time there. Indeed, Dawson is Spurs' longest-serving player (or at least will be prior to his imminent exit), having joined in an £8 million double deal from Nottingham Forest in 2005, with half of that said to be Dawson's cost and half being the fee for Andy Reid. The current club captain has made 236 Premier League appearances for Spurs - 221 of which have come from the start - and 88 appearances in other competitions. He has found the net on ten occasions for the club. He has led by example, putting his head where most people wouldn't put their foot, and has gained a lot of admirers in his time at Spurs - and he has certainly more than paid back his £4 million fee.
