15 Worst Ever English Football Kits

4. Newcastle United: Away 2014-15

Although we are living very much in the twenty-first century, with the horrors of 90€™s fashion design well behind us, the sports clothing industry is still more than capable of throwing up a shocker. Puma€™s design for Newcastle€™s away shirt for the 2014-15 season is quite the opposite of the garish but ambitious efforts of the Premier League€™s early years. A plain outfit of council paving-slab grey, the only break from this symphony of boredom being the logo of Wonga.com, is quite possibly the least attractive or memorable kit ever produced. At a time when many members of the Toon Army desperately need inspiration, this design is sure to disappoint. It was introduced in the last game of the 2013-14 season against Liverpool. Its big debut featured a fittingly drab performance that saw two players sent off and the Toon€™s only goal being scored by a Liverpool defender. For a club with black and white as its home colours, a splash of colour on the away shirt wouldn€™t go amiss.
