19. The Kits Have The Old Wonga Logo Because...

Many still perceive this as a blunder on both the club's - and Wonga's - part, but Newcastle remain adamant there was nothing they could do about the old Wonga logo, which is understandable really seeing as it was a last-minute decision for the company to change it. Liam Hall, the Young Persons Representative, asked: "The new kits include the sponsors' old logo, why is that?" The response was:
"The club explained that it was simply due to the advanced lead-time required for new kit (usually by October in the previous season). In short, the logo did not change until a long period of time after the production process had commenced."
