5 Clubs José Mourinho Could Work His Magic At Next Instead Of Chelsea

2. Manchester City

With the announcement of Roberto Mancini being sacked this week, Mourinho seems the perfect fit for the job. A side who won the BPL title in the 2011-12 campaign, stacks of cash available and a wealth of talent in the squad, the lure of the Manchester-based side is clear for all to see. Many of the stars of last season haven't shown the same sort of form that won City the title; Silva, Aguero and Nasri have all struggled to gain consistency. As argued in previous slides, money may be the key to luring a guy like Mourinho as he is likely to receive numerous offers. And if there is one thing Manchester City can guarantee, it is money. The Sheikh-owned club will be able to fund hundreds of millions which will allow Mourinho to purchase some of Europe's greatest players which could be key to City winning the title this time around. Despite José admitting his love for Chelsea, it is not definite that he would not consider any other English club and he has continuously stated that he loves English football and is hopeful to return there. The prominent use of rotation by Mancini proved fatal and this is something José should reverse. Mancini also had numerous problems with the likes of Tevez and Balotelli which The Special One would never put up with (see Iker Casillas), the players would have to oblige to José's rules without question. He should try and provide a consistent formation and match squad, selling deadwood in the process. The talent that the likes of Dzeko possesses should not be wasted on the club's bench and honesty is the best policy afterall. Should Mourinho opt to buy another striker in the transfer market, he would be the first to be honest with a player and tell them they are not in his plans (see Iker Casillas, once again). The foundations are laid and The Special One has a heap of potential to work on should he take the City job. The money, the squad, the success, the second-place finish et al, and the chance to experience English football once again. Manchester City and José Mourinho could become an unstoppable force.
