5 Reasons Chelsea Will Win The League (And One They Won't)
3. Eden Hazard
The Belgian winger has moved from an enigmatic, exciting talent to a truly world class, consistent performer. His nine league goals this season matches last year's record, in eleven fewer games, and the former Lille player is continuing to improve his final product. The £32million fee that Chelsea paid in 2012 looks like a snip. Chelsea's number 17 no longer confines his game to the wing, instead enjoying the freedom and responsibility that comes with his ability. A small stature belies his strong presence on the ball and his low centre of gravity allied to a fantastic dribbling technique means that not only does he rarely get tackled (fairly) but that he also weaves his way into exciting positions. The recent cup game against Stoke was yet another example in fine wing play and if it were not the wastefulness of his team mates then Hazard would have numerous more assists this season. Hazard is now one of the main men Chelsea turn to when they need a breakthrough and increasingly he is delivering.
