It is not only Mourinho who is a serial winner. It would take more time than I care to spend to count up the number of trophies the likes of John Terry, Frank Lampard, Petr Cech, Samuel Eto'o and Fernando Torres have won. League titles, Champions Leagues, World Cups, they have all the boxes ticked and that experience, both domestically and globally, will be vital as the title drama reach a crescendo. Chelsea have the experience of being winners, of being the hunters, and of being the hunted. One blip does not destabilise their progress. Patience and commitment are good friends. Desperation and fear an unknown stranger. Title rivals Manchester City have proven winners too, but Manuel Pellegrini has yet to seal a top title in Europe despite breaking records when in charge of Real Madrid and the club does not yet have the experience of competing on more than one front like Chelsea. Others may still feel the effects of West Ham's '19th century football' but Chelsea have been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Nothing is new to them.
