officially scored 757 goals. Even though Messi's chances of scoring over a thousand goals are immensely slim it is important that he keeps scoring at the same impressive rate he is at the moment for years to come so that his career total is up there with the best. In early December of 2012 the Argentine broke the record for most goals scored in a single calender year by finding the back of the net 86 times, beating Gerd Mueller's total of 85 that was set in 1972.
