8 Lessons We Can Learn From 2014 World Cup Adverts

1. All Brazilians Are Amazing At Football

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bfP3TZHUzY#t=38 This advert not so much teaches us a lesson but rather reinforces something we already know. In suggesting we €˜Dare to be Brazilian,' Nike reminds us of the culture of football that exists in Brazil. A type of football that is about flair rather than tactics and rigid 4-4-2 formations. We all know if you are born Brazilian you have an automatic advantage in any game of football you ever play. Only Brazil could produce a player like David Luiz and call him a defender. Brazilians are incredible at football and this advert rubs it in our face. The bookies agree, too. Brazil is ahead of Argentina and Spain with odds of just 3/1 to win the tournament on home soil. Based on the talent they have on display, it€™s hard to argue anyone other than a Brazilian will be lifting that cup on 13 July. Now that brands are done battling, let€™s get to the main event. Let the football begin. What do you make of these adverts?
