5. Steven And Gary Caldwell
Adam Davy/EMPICS SportCuriously, when Steven Caldwell left Newcastle in 2004, after a stop-start career that had seen four loan spells away from the club, he became the third example of a player whose brother had also played for Newcastle to play for both the Magpies and Sunderland after Ron Guthrie and Alan Kennedy. Over seven years at Newcastle, which included those temporary stints at Blackpool, Bradford (twice) and Leeds, Steven made only 28 league appearances, scoring a single goal in the league against Middlesbrough, and twice in the League Cup against Bradford. He was ultimately released in 2004 and signed for near rivals Sunderland, where he formed a strong partnership with Gary Breen.
