Arsenal Transfers: 6 Strikers Wenger Must Consider Before Deadline

3. Diego Costa (Atletico Madrid)

With Chelsea linked with a late transfer window move for Atletico Madrid's free scoring striker Diego Costa, Wenger would be foolish not to throw his own side's hat into the ring. Costa is a major talent, and has proved with his scoring exploits this season that he is worth a major price tag, and a punt to play in a top league. His experience getting to the top of the scoring table in Spain should put him in goal stead to transition well to the Premier League, and Arsenal need his type of player to add sharpness to the front of their attack. With attacking midfielders like Ozil and Cazorla behind him, and as unselfish a strike partner as Oliver Giroud, Costa could have the same kind of impact that he has already had in Spain, and his goals could be the strong foundation Arsenal need to really push on and challenge for the title right to the end of the season.
