Arsenal Transfers: 6 Strikers Wenger Must Consider Before Deadline

2. Alvaro Morata (Real Madrid)

With Lukas Podolski injured, and Yaya Sanogo also prone to injury, Arsenal's squad options are sparse to say the least, and there is very little Arsenal can do to change their striking options to give Olivier Giroud a rest, or to change the attack from the bench later in games. What Arsenal could really do with is more options to bolster Arsene Wenger's options from the bench, and they have been linked previously with a loan move for Alvaro Morata, the highly-rated Real Madrid youngster who the Spaniards believe has a massive future at the club. Morata could do well with some first team pitch time, and the opportunity to work with Arsene Wenger, who has a reputation for allowing young talents to flourish, could be seen as valuable for both the player and his parent club. Quite how much time he'd get on the pitch remains to be seen, but Wenger would at least have a safety net to allow Olivier Giroud some resting time.
