Cristian Tello Arsenal needed a player to help rival the frightful strength Manchester City boast in attack but without splashing too much cash. How about a promising young Spaniard from Barcelona? Arsenal were interested but they didn't make a concrete approach. Wenger even apparently made a trip to Spain and witnessed the youngster smash a hat-trick past Levante. If that won't persuade you to make a bid, what will? It would have taken a fair bit of negotiating to land Tello on loan but its far from farfetched. Here's a player that enjoys mixed opportunities at the Nou Camp and he wants to stake a claim for a seat on a plane to Brazil. It makes sense for all parties. It should have been an easy decision to make. I can only assume Wenger saw better elsewhere or was scared off by the hat-trick he scored. Imagine capturing two big names in consecutive windows!? No that's frightful. We can't do that. Let's get a football manager favourite from 12 years ago instead...
