Crystal Palace's fans were fantastic at Selhurst Park on Sunday. A near as dammit capacity crowd made a 26,000+ seater stadium feel as though it was three times that size. Even after the Eagles had gone a goal behind, the noise and enthusiasm of the crowd was nothing short of phenomenal. The term 'twelfth man' is banded around a lot in football and, if it's a true phenomenon and home crowds really can make the away team feel as though they're playing against twelve men, then Palace will have an extra man every other week this season - assuming the crowd can keep this level of intense enthusiasm going all year. It's no secret that I'm a Spurs fan, but it was an absolute pleasure to see such passion from an opposition crowd, as far as I'm concerned.
