David Beckham's Next Club: 5 Challenges To Finish His Career

2. Perth Glory or Melbourne Heart

The A-league has been a sanctuary for quite a few stellar names in the recent years. Robbie Fowler, Alessadro Del Piero and Dwight Yorke are some among the veterans of the beautiful game who chose to enjoy the sunshine and cash in the few last pay checks near the beaches of the Australian continent. Perth Glory and Melbourne Heart were among the first few to show interest in the former England captain with their chief executive, Scott Munn declaring to reporters: €œWhat I can say is that it€™s certainly real, we€™re putting forward an offer, it€™s compelling and the opportunity is here for him to come here. That is absolutely legitimate.€ However, the sun and sandy beaches might not suffice to lure the talented midfielder to the southern hemisphere - as having played for Real Madrid, the Beckham family are certain to be fairly familiar with the lovely weather. The player€™s representatives have squashed rumours of Australia as his next destination, yet until he unveils his next destination, Australia cannot be ruled out.
