Liverpool: 5 Youngsters That Will Shine This Season

3. Raheem Sterling

Raheem Sterling After joining Queens Park Rangers as a 14-year-old, Sterling joined Liverpool's youth academy in 2010 after being signed under the Rafael Benitez era. Since then, the Jamaican-born winger has broken into the Red's senior setup and made 24 Premier League appearances last season, scoring twice. He has also featured at every level for England, from U-16 through to the senior team, and became the second youngest ever player to feature for Liverpool - behind only Michael Owen - after coming on as a substitute in a clash against Wigan. The youngster has even had a taste of European football while at Liverpool, after replacing Stewart Downing as a sub during the Red's clash with Swiss outfit Young Boys in the Europa League. And there's no reason why the wideman can't give Downing serious competition for his spot on the flanks this season, considering he has already shown a few flashes of brilliance so far.
