3. Jamie Carragher
Though Liverpool veteran Jamie Carragher is by no means a "flop" as intimated in the introduction to this article, he is a player in desperate need of replacing. The 35-year old can no longer be called upon nor relied upon for the big games anymore, and while he has played the full 90 minutes in each of Liverpool's previous two league games, he has only lasted the 90 minutes one time before that. The defender recently told Rodgers that he is prepared to leave the club unless he gets more game time, and has hinted at retirement, though it is understood he is keen to prolong his Anfield career. The stalwart has been at Liverpool his entire career and has been a fiercely loyal servant for the club, but his best days are clearly behind him. Source(s):
