Liverpool Transfers: 4 Players Rodgers Desperately Needs To Replace Today

2. Jordan Henderson

Midfielder Jordan Henderson has been used increasingly sparingly by manager Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool. He has only played one full game all season and has had to settle for substitute appearances in five of his last 10 Premier League games. He moved to Anfield from Sunderland in 2011 but was told by club bosses just one year after his switch that he could leave after being deemed surplus to requirements. He was even offered to Fulham last year as part of the failed bid to land Clint Dempsey, who has since joined Tottenham. While Henderson may still be at Liverpool, he is surely living on borrowed time and it is fairly clear that he is no longer wanted or needed by Rodgers. Source(s): Telegraph
