Man Utd 2-0 Cardiff - Player Ratings

Craig Bellamy (4) Failed to put his own stamp on the game and was kept quiet. Didn't get at Rafael as much as he would have liked and had very little impact on proceedings. Gary Medel (5) Looked determined and went in for some pretty beefy tackles on Phil Jones. Gave Cardiff some steel in the middle but couldn't take advantage of Jones's poor performance. Jordon Mutch (3) Had zero impact. Subbed seven minutes after half-time. Peter Whittingham (5) Looked good in possession of the ball but couldn't really disrupt Giggs and Jones's game and largely failed to have any real input. Craig Noone (7) Cardiff's star player in this one, trying to get at United whenever possible with some long-ranged shots and gave Evra a difficult game. Scored, and had a good game against City but things didn't quite some together here. Fraizer Campbell (6) Put in a tireless and energetic performance and might have scored if only he had adjusted his feet in the second half when presented with a tap-in. Other than that though his efforts were fruitless.
