Man Utd Transfers: 5 Players Likely To Leave In August

4. Bebe

Bebe It's wasn't often that Sir Alex Ferguson made mistakes in the transfer window, bringing in world class players such as Eric Cantona, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney. But he did make a couple of awful signings, too, one of which was Bebe. Mysteriously, the Portuguese flop is still on United's books. Ferguson inexplicably signed Bebe from Vitoria in 2010, splashing out £7.4 million despite the fact he'd never seen the "striker" play before. Bought solely on the personal recommendation of former No.2 Carlos Queiroz, Bebe has only made seven appearances for the Red Devils, the majority of which coming in the League Cup. The 23-year-old was loaned out to BeŸiktaŸ for the 2011/12 season but the Turkish club, when given the option to make the move permanent, declined to do so. That triggered a second loan spell - the second in two years - to Rio Ave, where he played 18 times but scored just twice between 2012/13. And United are now prepared to sell if an offer comes along.
