3. Federico Macheda
Federico Macheda will forever go down in a little chapter of Manchester United's history. On April 5 2009, with United 21 down to Aston Villa heading into the final third of the game, and Liverpool pushing the Red Devils all the way for the Premiership, it looked as though Ferguson's side would lose serious ground in the title race. However, following Cristiano Ronaldo's equaliser in the 80th minute, Macheda, on as a substitute for Nani, curled in a winning goal in the third minute of injury time which effectively sealed the championship for United. Sadly, the Italian hasn't done much else since. And if you've been loaned out for not two, but
three successive seasons, you know your future probably lies elsewhere. Macheda has been shipped out to Sampdoria, Queens Park Rangers and latterly Stuttgart between 2010/13 and in 36 appearances for United, has scored just 5 times. Now, the forward is being lined up
for a move to Doncaster.
