Man Utd Transfers: 5 Reasons David Moyes Must Be Careful If He Wants To Rebuild His Squad

4. It May Be More Difficult Than Moyes Thinks To Secure Replacements

Thinking back to last summer, we all remember the difficulties that Man Utd had in recruiting new players. Of course, it will be very interesting to see how that situation has changed a year down the line. In the summer, it seemed that a number of big-name players weren€™t interested in the move to Old Trafford, possibly because Sir Alex Ferguson wasn€™t the manager anymore. Well, at the time of writing, it seems that Man Utd only have a very limited chance of qualifying for Europe and face a massive challenge if they are to catch Liverpool for that final Champions League place. This is a good reason why dispensing of some of their established current players is not such a good idea. The simple fact of the matter is that it€™s going to be very difficult to attract those world-class international players if European football isn€™t even on offer. Therefore, Moyes may have to target players that are either still in development or those that are not currently seeing much game time. Those sort of signings aren€™t likely to be those that will excite fans, or even the players that can rebuild the club. Therefore, an extreme rebuild this summer is a dangerous strategy.
