1. His Behaviour Toward Ferguson Has Been Insulting

wayne rooney Along with the distinct fading of his performances on the pitch, his attitude off it has been appalling. In Manchester United's final home game of the Premier League season against Swansea City at the weekend, Rooney was completely omitted from the squad because, as Ferguson would later reveal, "He didn't feel up to it." This was a day in which United fans and players would try and send Ferguson off in style in what was his last ever game as manager of the Red Devils at Old Trafford and Rooney overshadowed proceedings with his incredibly selfish decision not to play. He should have honored Ferguson by taking to the field but instead he skulked in the terraces with a disinterested, flat expression on his face. It was shameful behaviour and was not befitting of the age-old mantra "no one is bigger than the club". Rooney is not bigger than Manchester United, and they will trundle on without him if he decides to quit - as they always do. Do you think United should let Rooney go?
