Man Utd vs Liverpool: 5 Reasons Why It's Unmissable

3. It€™s Still A Derby Game

Liverpool vs. Manchester Utd could be played anywhere and even if league points weren€™t on the line or trophies it would still be a competitive hard fought contest. In fact the sides never play friendlies against each other because both sides know how intense it would be and neither team would play anything less than 100%.

Even though they only played each other two weeks ago the interest is still high in watching the two of the most successful teams in English league history do battle. The first game two weeks ago may have been a slow 1 vs. 0 win for Liverpool with neither team playing to their potential but there have been some real classics between the two clubs.

Given the game is being played at Old Trafford too makes it more special, in the early 2000€™s Liverpool owned Old Trafford winning their several times with Danny Murphy always seeming to score then after that the amazing Utd team of the mid 2000€™s with the likes of Ronaldo and Rooney were seemingly always beating Liverpool but those victories are rare and recent history at Old Trafford you would have Utd as firm favourites to get the win. It should be an amazing match with lots on the line for both and the natural tension between Liverpool and Manchester always gives the game a special atmosphere.
