The League Cup has always been a place where younger and untried players can get a spot in the team and try to impress. Man Utd have several players who need to step up and a game against old rivals Liverpool might me just the game needed to prove to Moyes they are first team players.

The likes of Zaha who hasn€™t been seen since to Community Shield game or Nani who recently signed a 5 year contract are two exciting attacking talents that Utd looked to have missed over the last couple of games. Man Utd€™s midfield has been targeted lately for being weak and missing a world class playmaker since Scholes retired last year so players like Cleverley and Anderson will have to step up and fill that role.

With Robin Van Persie missing with a thigh strain so strikers like Welbeck and Hernández will be needed to score to help the team I also know Utd fans are big on their young Belgium winger Adnan Januzaj and want to see him playing.
