Newcastle Premier League Managers Ranked By Win Percentage

8. Sam Allardyce - 33.33%

Newcastle United Manager: May 15th 2007-January 9th 2008 Games In Charge: 24 Won: 8 Drew: 6 Lost: 10 Win Percentage: 33.33% Reason For Leaving: Sacked When Sam Allardyce was appointed as Newcastle manager in May 2007, Magpies supporters were positive that they would be able to push higher up the league. However, Allardyce's signings failed to impress and he won just eight matches in charge before Mike Ashley decided to sack a man he had never appointed in the first place. A win ratio of 33.33% is a reasonable return but Allardyce's time at Newcastle was always going to be short-lived from the moment Ashley's takeover was confirmed. Businessmen like they own managers in place, and Allardyce wasn't Ashley's choice.
