Newcastle Premier League Managers Ranked By Win Percentage

7. Ruud Gullit - 34.61%

Newcastle United Manager: August 28th 1998-August 28th 1999 Games In Charge: 52 Won: 18 Drew: 14 Lost: 20 Win Percentage: 34.61% Reason For Leaving: Resigned Ruud Gullit arrived at St James' Park promising "Sexy Football" - but his year in charge of Newcastle delivered anything but that. Despite leading Newcastle to their second-successive FA Cup final, Gullit fell out with senior players - including Duncan Ferguson and, most notably, Alan Shearer - and did not deliver the results Magpies supporters were expecting. Exactly a year after taking charge, having returned just a 34.61% win ratio, Gullit resigned following a 2-1 Tyne-Wear derby defeat to Sunderland at St James' Park.
