Premier League Transfers: 5 Stunning Signings That Could Still Be Made This Summer

3. Cesc Fabregas

fabregasCurrent club: Barcelona Main contender: Manchester United Cesc Fabregas signed for Spanish giants Barcelona in 2011 for a fee of £30 million from Arsenal, but since joining the club he has often struggled to make the starting 11. Despite being a valuable player in his own right, he became more of a 'super sub', playing second fiddle to the likes of Xavi and Iniesta. Fabregas himself has been quiet on the prospect of a transfer, however Barcelona stand firm in saying he is not for sale. Numerous clubs have showed an interest in the midfielder, however non more so than Manchester United. They have currently had 2 offers turned down by the Spanish club but remain confident that they will complete the signing, despite Barcelona claiming that they have "renounced his signing". In my opinion I don't think Barcelona will sell Fabregas for a fee short of what they paid for him, and if United are really keen then they will have to up their offer!
